Welcome to Rida’s Digest! Rida’s Digest is a collection of things I can’t stop thinking about. A space for stories on travel, culture, identity, media, and the strange little details that make places and experiences stick with you long after you’ve left them behind.
Written somewhere between London, Birmingham, Istanbul, airport terminals, and cafes, it exists partly as a personal archive and partly as an attempt to make sense of the big wide world.
A lot of what I write circles back to the things I’ve grown up around and continue to navigate: British Muslim life, faith, belonging, nostalgia, movement, and the feeling of existing between places, communities and identities. Alongside that, expect cultural observations, travel reflections, things I’ve watched, read, loved, overanalysed, and occasionally entire essays inspired by something small enough that most people would probably walk past it.
Hence its not a guide to anything and more of a digest: a collection of notes, stories and funny thoughts I gather along the way.
